thanks for validating this humble dj

First and foremost, can I just say that the peeps who came out to Right Round last night all rule the school?

348, I believe, was the final count of the evening. I LOVE that.

Now, here's where I must apologize. My intention last night was to play BUNCHES of stuff that I had never played before. And, for the first 2 hours, I did just that.

but hardly anyone danced.

Those who were there may have noticed that phenomenon, cause it was full-on weird. So, that being said, I pulled out the hit machine and got the dancing back on track. It was a little disappointing, to be honest, but my feeling is that perhaps I was switching gears a little too rapidly from my usual fare - got everyone in there with certain pre-conceived notions, then pulled the proverbial rug out.

Also, just as a personal aside to the person who, after reading this blog posting, apologized on behalf of their friend - thank you. You caught me a little bit off guard, but believe me - it's cool. I was most definitely irritated at your pal at the time, but one thing to note - unless you've really fucked me or my man-friend over, once I'm done getting something off my chest, I'm usually done with it. So we're good, no worries. Your friend can request again without fear - I would simply like to gently suggest a certain level of mindfulness to the process.

So, that said, I will play all the requests I received in time - just not all at one time, as I've seen that it doesn't exactly work. Additionally, rather than giving you the actual setlist, I'm going to give you my intended setlist, so that you can see I wasn't blowing anyone off (oh, and I'll put a * by all the requests). BTW, I may mess up a song title or something - I'm a little hung over, so some leeway would be much appreciated:
