Right Round / Mousetrap 2-for-1 special - setlist and commentary

Dudes - I had a blast. there were over 850 peeps in attendance for DJ Mark Zimin's and my 2-for-1 special last Saturday. Yippee!

Highlights?

Um, 850 peeps.

Also, toward the end of the night, you may have seen me oddly and quickly swoop down toward the floor behind the decks, and you just might'a said to yourself, "why is dj lil'e swoopin' toward the floor so rapid-like? don't she know that it's cramped back there, and she might just hurt herself?"

Yeah. Um, well, because I went ass over teakettle... strappy bondage pants, spike heels and dancing DO NOT MIX. Take the lesson. And say a little prayer of thanks that I didn't break my face on my turntable, wouldya?

one year later.

hard to believe it's been a year to the day since we lost Mr. Phil. How is it possible that it still hurts so much?

Anyway, a bunch of us are getting together tonight to tip a few back and tell stories. That'll be nice.

For those who knew him, here are a couple of pics to remember him by:

Mr. Phil and Miss Puck

This one is SO him...

We miss you, Mr. Phil.

What is it with October???

I'm not going to go into details, but some good friends of Andy and I just gave us some really incredibly sad news about their son.

I don't even know what to say. In 14 days it's the one year anniversary of Mr. Phil's death, and now this.
